He Made You a Part of The Body of Christ & It's Not Optional!

To my fellow followers of Christ,  I wonder sometimes why some of you make it so easy for yourself to disconnect from the church/fellowship/weekly gathering or more importantly with your relationship with God?

Some of you will go weeks or months without attending any weekly services/gatherings, serving using your gifts and talents, or connecting with other believers. Furthermore, you spend hardly any time daily, (if at all)  developing your relationship with God through reading and studying the Word, prayer and prayer/communicating with Him.

Speaking from experience,  we all can go through somewhat dry seasons in life sometimes, but, I know that the seasons are even harder on us when we withdraw from the relationships, connections, fellowship, etc that we know are good for us by putting them in the "optional" category.

"Smart" Phones and Dumb Choices....Can we Auto-Correct Humanity?

Check out this video.

It's very well done and gives real food for thought.

I think all of us with "smart phones" have some adjustments to make. I know I use my phone for pretty much everything when I'm not using a PC because I can connect to pretty much anything, digital books, multiple apps, podcasts, social media, taking and sharing pictures, audio and video, my bank account, e-Mail, etc.

Gotta long way to go but find that some days the "smart phone" can help us make "dumb" decisions when we're with others especially.

We need to disconnect in order to connect or re-connect with others...

Anyhow, here's a dose of perspective. Check it...

Special Request: The Sonrise Food Pantry Needs Your Help!

I have special and urgent request I wanted to share with you! My friends at the Sonrise Food Pantry serves 80 families a week providing them with much needed food staples in their time of need! They are facing an ongoing shortage of the following items: Tuna (and other canned meats), Peanut Butter, Beans (Canned and Dry), and Cereal! These items, if provided would not only help fill the ongoing shortages of these items but it will also stretch out their regular budget providing more of the other items they work to provide each week! If you're able to help meet some of these needs please drop items off at Sonrise (6701 Northeast Campus Way, Hillsboro, OR) during business hours or contact me via e-Mail address and we can find a time to connect.
Seriously, even providing just a few items will help meet the needs of these families via the Sonrise Food Pantry! Whatever you can do will be very appreciated!
Thanks for your consideration!
Blessings,
