Advent Week 1 - A Prayer of Hope

Read: Luke 1:26-38, Romans 15:12-13, Romans 5:1-5

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we enter into this Christmas season, I praise you and thank you for sending Your one and  Only Son Jesus as He's our only hope.

I praise You that Jesus is the hope of all mankind!

I pray that we hold onto and never lose the true hope we have in You! May we carry it all year through and proclaim your goodness all year through.

May You help us proclaim the truth that Christmas represents as captured in Your Word.

Help us not to put hope in anything or anyone that is temporal, rather, completely place our hope in You the never changing one!

Help us to remember that You will never let us down!

Help us to hold onto hope even when things seem bleak.

Help us to hold onto hope no matter the season.

May Your Holy Spirit do a work in and through us each day so we may experience Your hope all the more in very tangible ways and in turn communicate Your hope!

Thank you for giving us true never shifting hope!

I pray for Your help to keep Jesus in the center of our Christmas celebration and in the center of our lives each day!

I thank you and praise you for all that Your hope does and brings about in our lives.

I praise You for this Christmas / Advent season where we can celebrate the coming of Jesus to this world to fulfill Your plan of salvation.

I pray we celebrate His Birthday this month and every day.

May we never lose the childlike awe and wonder of Christmastime as You're worthy of our praise and worthy of much awe and wonder at Your goodness toward us!

May we never forget that Your hope burst forth the moment Jesus entered this world for our Salvation!

May the light of hope in Christ burn brightly within us, Father.

May Your Spirit move in and through us each day and may Your Spirit move on the hearts of those of us who do know You as well as those who don't know You yet...please draw them to Yourself Father so they may experience Your love and forgiveness through the true gift of Christmas, Jesus!

May Your glory and gracious hand of mercy be seen by everyone this season.

In Jesus name I praise You and Thank You, Amen.

Because He is THE Reason for the season,
Your Brother and Servant,

rlk
