What do you hunger and thirst for?
Is it fame, money, success, people, or things?
This world vies for our time and attention and wants to lure us away from the things we should hunger and thirst for.
Jesus instructs us in Matthew 5:6 that, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." Jesus is our righteousness and He wants us to hunger and thirst for Him, His statutes, His instruction, His Purpose, His Will and His Plan. Hunger and thirst for the things of heaven and not of this earth. Hunger and Thirst for Him and put Him first.
The things of this world will not satisfy you as they are temporary and ultimately only what God provides will satisfy your hunger and thirst as what He provides is eternal.
Let me encourage you to hunger and thirst for righteousness and pursue The Lord, because, only in and through The Lord and what He offers will your hunger and thirst be satisfied.
Let’s pray for one another that we will pursue Him with everything that is within us!
