It's Christmas time! Let me be one of the first to wish you a very Merry and meaningful Christmas! Did you know that incorporating Advent into your Christmas celebration can be a fantastic way to help focus your heart, worship, and celebration on the birth of Christ / His first coming?...which is the reason we celebrate CHRISTmas in the first place! Advent is a more traditional part of Christmas that is still observed by many as it can be a very meaningful part of your Christmas remembrance.

What you should mean when you say Amen. 🙏🏼

My friend,

The Hebrew word translated as "Amen" means "so be it" or "truly".

"Amen" is also found in the New Testament and has the same meaning in the original Greek language.

When we say Amen, we're agreeing with and trusting in God's purpose, will, and plan.
 
We're putting our trust in His sovereignty and essentially saying, "So be it" or "So let it be", trusting God to hear our prayers and asking Him to grant our requests according to His will as we pray in faith and according to His will be done...not our own.

Here is what A Shepherd's Heart is about:

Who We Are:

A Shepherd’s Heart is a non-denominational discipleship and encouragement ministry founded by Randolph Koch.

Our Mission:

This ministry exists and our mission is to come alongside the church with the goal to encourage God’s people to grow in maturity in Christ as they live life on purpose for His kingdom and glory. (Read: Colossians 1:28-29, Matthew 28:16-20. John 15:4-5, John 8:31-32)

And, as part of The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20), this includes pointing people to Him that have not experienced His love, forgiveness, and salvation yet.

We strive to create biblical and practical resources such as: written, audio, and video resource creation including articles, blog posts, devotionals, web, tools, and social media communications. Currently have 5 YouVersion Bible app specific devotionals published in the app and website (hope to publish more soon).

We serve the body of Christ including but limited to discipleship, pastoral care, prayer, Biblical council, teaching, preaching and have a huge heart to serve and build up shepherds who are on pastoral staff.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day my friends!

This is a great day to remind ourselves to never take our freedom for granted! Freedom came at a great price! I'm Thankful to all who laid the groundwork for the USA to become a nation.

No matter how many in the USA complain about their nation, the USA still affords them many freedoms that many people don't have in other countries. If you live in the USA, let's stop for a moment and give thanks and celebrate what is still a great nation! Let's not take our freedoms for granted!

Also, no matter where you live, If you are in Christ, don't ever take your freedom in Christ for granted either!

Your freedom came at a great price as Jesus sacrificed it all so you can have salvation and freedom from the bondage and wages of sin!

Freedom in Christ doesn't have to be renewed each day because he paid for your freedom in full, but, we definitely need to daily walk in the new life He's given us and again never take His sacrifice for granted!

God has truly shed His grace upon us! Let's praise His mighty name for His love, goodness, mercy and grace!

2 Corinthians 3:17 - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Hamas and pro Palestinian protesters, especially in that region of the world, don't believe that Israel has a right to exist! This is not just a call to end Jewish control from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea (all of Israel), giving control to Palestinians, it's a call for the end of Isreal and the genocide of the Jewish people. Please educate yourself on the facts before you jump on the "free palestine" or any other bandwagon. Is Israel perfect?, no, no nation is, but, We are to stand with Israel based on God's Word and His everlasting covenant with them as outlined in Genesis 12, 15, and 17. _ May you strive to be a biblical Christian which includes standing with Israel, rejecting antisemitism, and rejecting biblical illiteracy. The Importance of Perseverance.

My Friend,

It's no doubt that God uses our hard season of trials and battles for His glory, and for our growth and good, but what if He has you and I go through things not only for us, but also for the benefit of others too?  God may use our trials to help others navigate their own trials by watching us! They will watch and see how we, (however imperfectly) persevere and  prayerfully display an unwavering faith through whatever we face in life.

Please take time to read, study, and take to heart Romans 5:1-5, James 1:12, Galatians 6:9, James 1:2-4, 1 Chronicles 16:11, Proverbs 3:5-6 for starters, and Galatians 6:2-5.

Our trials are an encouragement to others and I pray we allow God to use us for His kingdom and Glory and for the good and growth of ourselves and others in the process. They also move others and ourselves to pray and seek Him like never before!  In closing, I want to encourage you to: 1. Continue to look to The Lord and seek His face always. (See  Chronicles 16:11). 2. Continue to persevere through each trial knowing He will lead you through it to the other side for His kingdom, glory and for your good and growth.  3.
