Read The Gospels In 40 Days!
My Friend,
Happy New Year!
To kick off the New Year, I wanted to share a new free resources I created to share with The Body of Christ which is, a simple read through The Gospels in 40 Days guide.Download your free copy here: https://tinyurl.com/
What started as a simple request via a question, I decided to create this guide to help guide you through The Gospels over 40 (or more) days.
Early in my walk with The Lord, The Gospels were very foundational (and still are) in growing in my understanding about Who Jesus is, Salvation, Freedom, and more.
So, if you want to know Jesus better, get into The Word of God, specifically The Gospels as you will get to know Him even better as you abide in His Word.
As with any guide, don't get hung on the number of days but use this guide and take as long as you need! And, if you happen to "fall behind" just pick it back up when you can.
I hope this resource is an encouragement to you and please feel free to share this with others in The Body of Christ.
Thanks for the privilege of serving you in 2025 and prayerfully in 2026!
Your brother and servant in Christ,
Randolph Koch

Speak Words Of Life From God's Word. 🙏
My Friend,
Anxiety and depression are definitely a battle that can wage war for our minds and hearts. It can be crippling sometimes and we need to remember that it's not a battle we can face alone. We need God, His Word, His Holy Spirit, and His people to overcome any anxiety, depression or anything. When He says cast all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you, (see 1 Peter 5:7) He means it. When He says come to Him all who are weary and heavy laden, and He will give you rest, (see Matthew 11:28-30) He means it. But the question remains...do we actually do these things are do we try to carry these burdens alone? Speaking from my own experience and witnessing the experience of others, while our anxiety or depression may drive us to run from God and His Word, as follower's of Christ we need to learn to train ourselves to run to God and His Word.He is our ultimate help, strength, healer and more Who we need to over come these times. We all need to speak the truth of His Word ourselves no matter how loud the opposing voices scream otherwise. Are you anxious? Speak the truth of God's Word to yourself. Is a believing friend anxious? Speak the encouragement and truth of God's Word to them. Take time to read, study, and take to heart 1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28-30, Proverbs 12:25. May we speak a good word or The Good Word of encouragement from God's Word over our own lives or the lives of others. Speak life from God's Word to those who are facing times of anxiety and depression as He and His Word will bring joy and gladness back to us in place of anxieties and depression we face. (see Proverbs 12:25) Speak a good Word! He Is Your Rock!
My Friend,
My hope is that none of us has to hit rock bottom in order to discover that God truly is our Rock.
I pray that no matter where you are today in life, that you rest in the truth that He alone is your Rock no matter what!
He is your firm and true foundation, so seek Him as your foundation and trust Him as your foundation.
Take time to read, study, and take to heart Matthew 7:24-27, Ephesians 2:19– 21, and 1 Peter 2:6 for starters.
You are in my prayers. Please pray for me as well. 🙏🏼

2023 February Through July Memory Verses!
Hello and thank you for visiting the A Shepherd's Heart Website!
How are you doing? I hope you are well!
I've been giving thought to the typical monthly memory verse(s) that I share and I thought it would be good to do something slightly different in 2023.
Instead of a different theme and verse or verses each month, I thought it would be good to focus the next six months on one theme which is sharing your faith via memorizing the verses around The Romans Road.
What's The Romans Road? Some of you may be familiar with it already but just in case you aren't, it's a simple tool that can help you explain The Gospel using verses from the book of Romans which is comprised of Six Pillars of Truth drawing from a group of six verses from The Book of Romans.
To get us started, here are the February to July memory verses: (We'll memorize something else August - December)

I'll be following up in the days to come with additional information and at the end, I'll send you a one page Romans Road handout that you can fold and tuck away in your Bible as a ready resource when God gives you an opportunity to share faith.
As always, I recommend you memorize scripture using a good word for word translation such as the ESV or another translation.
Let me know how I can be praying for you.

November 2022 Memory Verses
My Friend,
For our November scripture memorization, I've suggested Psalm 9:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Psalm 118:28-29, and Psalm 136:1-3, which are just a few of the many that remind us about thankfulness and gratitude to The King Of Kings and Lord of Lords. As always, I've suggested the ESV version, which is the version I use most often, however, if you have another good word for word translation you enjoy, feel free to memorize it in that version. It's completely up to you.
You'll notice that following the verses is a list of some basic themes/topics. I've included those suggestions as I learned many years ago that having at least one theme or topic in mind when you memorize scripture helps you store them in memory and as you have conversations with others in the future, I can guarantee that as those themes/topics come up, the scripture you've memorized will also come to mind and you may share encouragement from God's Word or re-encourage yourself!
May you continue to abide in God's Word through reading, studying, memorization and living it out as vital keys to our growth.
Have fun with scripture Memorization! Don't stress about it! And, as always, be in The Word and stay in The Word!
You're in my prayers and please reach out if you need any tips.

Randolph Koch

October 2022 Memory Verses
My Friend,
For our October scripture memorization, I've suggested Psalms 28:7, Psalm 46:10, Matthew 11:28-30, and Proverbs 3:5-6, as they remind us that our strength and sufficiency, and who we are is found in Him. So, we can cease striving, trust in Him, lean on Him and His understanding instead of ourselves alone. As always, I've suggested the ESV version and this month, one from the NASB version (that's the version I originally memorized that verse in. :-) ), which is the version I use most often, however, if you have another good word for word translation you enjoy, feel free to memorize it in that version. It's completely up to you.
You'll notice that following the verses is a list of some basic themes/topics. September 2022 Memory Verses.
My Friend,
For our September scripture memorization, I've suggested John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 as they remind us that there is only One Way that we can be saved and that is through Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross. There are not many pathways to heaven, He is the only way!
