Pray At All Times!

My Friend,

No matter what you face each day, let me encourage you to make prayer a priority. Make it your first response and not an afterthought.

Check out this brief video with a poignant quote:

Take time to read, study, and take to heart 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Philippians 4:6, and Ephesians 6:18 for starters. Approaching God in prayer is a blessing, gift, and privilege so don't take it for granted and again, make prayer for yourself and others a priority. You are in my prayers. Please pray for me as well. God Will Use You Despite Your Brokenness!

My Friend,

You may think that God doesn't want to use you or can't use you because of your past or current issues or brokenness.
Let me tell you that this is the furthest thing from the truth!
The Lord is The Great Physician and is more than capable of mending your brokenness while simultaneously continuing to fulfill the purpose, will, and plan He has for you.

Check out this short message featuring a poignant quote:
I pray that you allow Him to heal you according to His power. He has a purpose, will, and plan for you and He wants to use you for His kingdom and glory. Trust Him, follow Him, and serve Him how He directs.

God Will Use You Despite Your Brokenness!
You are in my prayers. Please pray for me as well.
Your brother and servant in Christ,
Randolph Koch

2023 February Through July Memory Verses!

Hello and thank you for visiting the A Shepherd's Heart Website!

How are you doing? I hope you are well!

I've been giving thought to the typical monthly memory verse(s) that I share and I thought it would be good to do something slightly different in 2023.

Instead of a different theme and verse or verses each month, I thought it would be good to focus the next six months on one theme which is sharing your faith via memorizing the verses around The Romans Road.

What's The Romans Road? Some of you may be familiar with it already but just in case you aren't, it's a simple tool that can help you explain The Gospel using verses from the book of Romans which is comprised of Six Pillars of Truth drawing from a group of six verses from The Book of Romans.

To get us started, here are the February to July memory verses: (We'll memorize something else August - December)

Please also see the following link for a pdf file with the above memory verse if you need a larger format:

I'll be following up in the days to come with additional information and at the end, I'll send you a one page Romans Road handout that you can fold and tuck away in your Bible as a ready resource when God gives you an opportunity to share faith.

As always, I recommend you memorize scripture using a good word for word translation such as the ESV or another translation.

Let me know how I can be praying for you.

Do Not Forsake Assembling Together: We're Better Together!

Read: Hebrews 10:23-25, Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Acts 2:44-47, Acts 4:33-35, and Proverbs 27:17.

God's Word teaches us that from the very beginning it is by His design that He never intended mankind to be or do life alone.

You can check out the first several chapters of Genesis for instance where He didn't want Adam to be alone so He created Eve. Furthermore, Adam and Eve had a direct relationship with God as well because they, like all of us where create for relationship with Him and others.

Woven through out the Old and New Testament we see God placing an emphasis on relationships and specifically in the New Testament He exhorts us that we are a part of the body of Christ and we play a specific part in relationship with others.

While it may not always feel like it, we are truly better doing life together.  And together, we are a part of something greater than ourselves.

What is the "9 Keys To Walking In Christ" devotional about?

Hello!
How do you walk in Christ? Like eating right and regular exercise, you have to be disciplined in exercising your faith, to grow in your walk with Him. God's Word outlines many practical principles that will help you successfully walk in Christ.
The aim of this devotional is to guide you through nine of the keys to help strengthen your walk.
Whether you just started walking in Christ, or have walked with Him for years, I pray this will be a spark in your faith that will help motivate you, driving you to walk closer with Him!
I pray that this devotional will encourage and challenge you in your walk with Christ!
It's an honor to serve you and I'm humbled and exited as God has blessed me with this opportunity to encourage the body of Christ from His Word.
I pray that you will sign up for the plan and help get the word out about the plan to your family, friends and church family too!
Also, your continued prayers for a successful launch is greatly appreciated!
On another note, I know the A Shepherd's Heart social media sites and website has been dominated by the devotional launch this week, however, it's been important in support of getting the word out about God has done. Rest assured I'll be sifting back into the usual biblical and practical encouragement posts and content in the weeks ahead.

My current plan via the website is to finish The Fruit of The Spirit Series that I'd started a while back and put that on pause as well as other topics to encourage you in your faith and walk with Christ.

Also, via social media, the usual A Shepherd's Heart biblical and practical encouragement posts will be back in action.

If you're subscribed to the free A Shepherd's Heart Communications, you will receive additional content and news before anyone else receives it and you can expect some more encouragement resources will be coming your way if your'e signed up!

If you aren't signed up, please sign up with your name and e-Mail address via the form on the right of the www.ashepherdsheart.org landing page.

I'm always working to provide content that is encouraging to you in your faith and walk with Jesus. With this, what topics or content will be useful to you or would you like to potentially see? Please leave a comment here or send an e-Mail to rlk@ashepherdsheart.org. I'm also working to assess where to focus efforts and time and would like to share was it most meaningful as much as possible so your input would be very helpful!

Thank you for your time and please pass this communication on to someone!

In Christ,
Your Brother and Servant,

Randolph Koch

Relationships: Learning What You're 100% Responsible For!

Relationships can be tough. This is especially true when conflict exists.

On the other hand, it can also be fantastic when thing are working the way they should be!

This is true in any relationship in general whether a personal relationship with family or friends, in a business setting or in a mentoring, discipleship or counseling relationship.

Speaking from experience in all of these before mentioned relationships, it can be great or it can be very very draining if you are the only one doing all of the work.

We invest in people and people are worth pouring into as long as they actually do their part too!

Sometimes it does take more time but there's always a need to keep a healthy balance.

It can also be confusing sometimes because on one hand we shouldn't easily give up on people but in wisdom, we cannot have a "Jesus Complex" thinking we can "save" everyone because that's His job not ours.

Our job is to be willing vessels and He'll give you the means and wisdom to do your part as long as it makes sense and to the point where it's not detrimental to you.

So, you may be asking, what is my part then?

I'm so glad you asked! Please allow me to help briefly answer this and fill in the gaps for us as follows! :-)
